SureAid Development Initiative and Africa First Strategic Alliance Initiative have committed to supporting Bayelsa Enterprise Hubs Limited (Operators of Bayelsa Garment Factory) to make Face Masks as Corporate Social Responsibility and distribute free to Bayelsans.

In a communication from Bayelsa Enterprise Hubs Management Limited, the Management and Board expressed gratitude to the organizations urging other spirited organizations/individuals to take advantage of the Factory as it has capacity to provide corporate Garment services for Uniforms, Industrial Cover-Alls, Lab Coats, Bed Sheets amongst others. 


Mr. Ebiekure Jasper Eradiri representing the board expressed confidence in the Capacity of the factory as second largest in Nigeria to live up to expectations. He further thanked former Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon.Henry Seriake Dickson for conception of this laudable project and pledged to work closely with H.E Gov. Douye Diri to achieve the vision for setting up the Bayelsa Enterprise Start-up Hub comprising Garment Factory, Leather Works Factory, Plastics Factory, Fabrics/Accessories/Merchandise Depot and the Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Technology Park which will accelerate economical growth, develop MSME Ecosystem and generate decent jobs in the State.

ASUU UniAbuja begins indefinite strike

  The University of Abuja branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared an indefinite strike over some unresolved issues between the management and the union. Some of the issues include the illegal Advertorial for vacancy of the position of Vice Chancellor by the current vice chancellor of the institution and illegal recruitments without due Process. A statement by the Chairperson of the ASUU University of Abuja chapter, Dr Sylvanus Ugoh says the decision to embark on the indefinite strike was reached after the congress of the Chapter with approval by ASUU National.  Ugoh said after following due process in line with ASUU procedures, the Trustees and Principal Officers granted the branch the permission to proceed on an indefinite, comprehensive and total strike until the issues in contention were addressed.
