Buhari’s claim of $500bn oil proceeds baseless. ..... PDP The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described the claim by President Muhammadu Buhari that PDP squandered the sum of $500bn oil proceeds within 16 years as baseless, unfounded, and unsubstantiated. The party urged the President not to allow his aides railroad him into peddling such groundless allegations and bandying of unverified figures, as doing that could detract from his personality. PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Tuesday, said the figures alluded to by the President does not even tally or reflect the actual oil related profile of the nation during the said period and urged the President not to allow his handlers set him up for public ridicule. This edition is strictly for all communities and tertiary institutions in Bayelsa State.  Interested participants should pick their forms at the Restoration Cup secretariat at Ijaw House along Sani Abacha expressway, Yenagoa for N5000 only from Monday, February 26. Deadline for submission of completed forms is Monday   March 5, 2018. This edition promises to be bigger and better with N11m prize money at stake. GOVERNOR SERIAKE DICKSON FOOTBALL TIURNAMNT KICKS OFF IN MARCH... COMMUNITIES , TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS BATTLE FOR N11M PRIZE MONEY... The second edition of the Governor Seriake Dickson Football Competition, tagged, The Restoration Cup 2018, will kick - off in March. Director General of the competition, Ono Akpe, who disclosed this in Yenagoa, reiterated that this year's edition is strictly for communities as well as tertiary institutions in Bayelsa state. A statement signed by the tournament's  Director General, says all communities interested in participating in the football competition, are to pick their forms at the Ijaw House, along the Sani Abacha expressway in Yenagoa. The sale of forms will commence on Monday, 26th, and will last for just two weeks, to enable the organisers conduct the draws and then kick off the tournament proper. Bayelsa Govt to Invest in Mass Housing, as German Envoy Hails Dickson’s Achievements The German Ambassador to Nigeria, Dr Bernhard Schlagheck on Tuesday joined other well-meaning individuals and organisations across the world, in commending Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State for his outstanding achievements in office. According to a statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Francis Ottah Agbo, the German Ambassador gave the commendation during a courtesy call on the Governor in Government House, Yenagoa. The Bayelsa Airlines, has this Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Bristow Helicopters, to provide quality aviation services in the state. Speaking at the signing ceremony at the newly inaugurated Grand Pavilion and Boat Club, Oxbow Lake, in Yenagoa, Governor Seriake Dickson described the initiative as part of efforts by the state government to ease transportation for commuters both within and outside the state.
