PDP GOVERNORS FORUM CONGRATULATE MEMBERS ON LANDSLIDE VICTORIES IN APPELATE COURTS NATIONWIDE

The People’s Democratic Party Governors Forum has congratulated all its members on the landslide victory recorded on the various post-election petition cases at the several Courts of Appeal across the country.

A press statement released on Friday November 29th, 2019 and signed by the DG of the Forum, Earl Osaro Onaiwu, the forum said the Appeal Courts have by their judgments affirmed the wishes of the people who not only voted en-masse for their preferred PDP Candidates, but defended their votes and the mandates they granted the governors during the gubernatorial election of March 2019.

In the statement, the forum urged the electorate not to relent their efforts in giving the necessary support, prayers and loyalty to their leaders.

It also pleaded with the governors to reciprocate the love of their people with the resolve to continue to do more in delivering democratic dividends to the people who have not only put their hopes on them but have given them their wholehearted trust and undiluted loyalty even in the face of provocation and intimidation from certain quarters.

ASUU UniAbuja begins indefinite strike

  The University of Abuja branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared an indefinite strike over some unresolved issues between the management and the union. Some of the issues include the illegal Advertorial for vacancy of the position of Vice Chancellor by the current vice chancellor of the institution and illegal recruitments without due Process. A statement by the Chairperson of the ASUU University of Abuja chapter, Dr Sylvanus Ugoh says the decision to embark on the indefinite strike was reached after the congress of the Chapter with approval by ASUU National.  Ugoh said after following due process in line with ASUU procedures, the Trustees and Principal Officers granted the branch the permission to proceed on an indefinite, comprehensive and total strike until the issues in contention were addressed.
