AKWA SAVINGS AND LOANS LTD UBLISHES NAMES OF DELINQUENT DEBTOR....Set To Commence Debt Recovery

The Akwa Savings and Loans Limited in a Press statement has said that pursuant to and in compliance to a circular released by the Central Bank Of Nigeria in April 2015, that it has to publish names of its 56 top delinquent debtors in accordance with the CBN directive.

It stated further that this measure had become necessary because various avenues provided  by the Bank to propose acceptable terms of resolutions have failed.

The Bank stated that it was still open to amicable resolution of these debts within a reasonable timeframe, failing which it would continue to exercise all powers, as provided by the law to recover these debts and that this may include the sales of collaterals used in securing such facilities.

The total amount owed by the delinquent debtors was given as One Billion, One Hundred and Fifty Six Million, Nine Hundred and Forty Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Eighty Eight Naira and Seventy One Kobo (N 1, 156, 944, 788.71).
