FOUNDATION LAYING CEREMONY OF THE "LABOUR HOUSE" BY GOV. DICKSON


 
His Excellency, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson, today laid the foundation of the "LABOUR HOUSE" that will accommodate both the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Bayelsa State council and Trade Union Congress (TUC) Bayelsa State.

The Governor said that the "LABOUR HOUSE" should be completed in five months time. He said there should be more support and understanding for greater productivity between Government and Labour Unions in the state. He also said that the Restoration Government will continue to bring out policies that will transform the state positively.

The pioneering  Commissioner for Labour, Employment and Productivity, Chief Collins Cocodia thanked the Governor for the approval/ kick start of the "LABOUR HOUSE" project for the Labour unions in the state.

The Commissioner said government will continue with the reforms in the civil service and labour unions should continue to support the state government in the ongoing reforms against payroll fraud, over age in civil services etc.

The State Chairman of the NLC, Comr. John Ndiomu thanked Gov. Dickson for giving the union the "Labour House".
He said when the "Labour House" is completed, it will strengthen the relationship between labour and the State Government.

Also present at the event was the TUC Bayelsa State chapter chairman Comr. Tari Dounane and top government Personalities were in attendance.
