Timipre Sylva's Relative and close Political Associate pays surprise visit to Gov. Dickson..... Commends his Aggressive Development Drive

On Wednesday 28th of February, Timipre Sylva's kinsman and former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon. Nathaniel Sylva, paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Bayelsa State, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson in his office at the Government House, Yenagoa.                    .                              

Sylva, who is a cousin to former Governor Timipre Sylva, is also a former Chairman of Brass Local Government under the Sylva administration.                    .                                

In a chat with Government House Press Corps after the visit, Hon. Sylva  commended Governor Dickson for the giant people-oriented development strides the Dickson-led-Restoration Government has recorded  in the state.                                                   

Meanwhile, reports have it that Hon. Sylva has already dumped the APC ship, and though no official statement has been made in reference to his next destination, there are very strong pointers to the fact that he might possibly consider a return to  the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

ASUU UniAbuja begins indefinite strike

  The University of Abuja branch of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has declared an indefinite strike over some unresolved issues between the management and the union. Some of the issues include the illegal Advertorial for vacancy of the position of Vice Chancellor by the current vice chancellor of the institution and illegal recruitments without due Process. A statement by the Chairperson of the ASUU University of Abuja chapter, Dr Sylvanus Ugoh says the decision to embark on the indefinite strike was reached after the congress of the Chapter with approval by ASUU National.  Ugoh said after following due process in line with ASUU procedures, the Trustees and Principal Officers granted the branch the permission to proceed on an indefinite, comprehensive and total strike until the issues in contention were addressed.
