WE ARE GOING TO REBUILD THE
PDP...JIMI AGBAJE
...AS PDP RECONCILIATION COMMITTEE
VISITS CHIEF JIMI AGBAJE.
Gov Dickson led reconciliation
committee in continuation of their engagement in the South West parleyed
with Chief Jimi Agbaje in his Apapa home. The Governors' delegation included
former Minister(s)Ambassador Aminu Wali, John Odey,Lorenzo Mallam,, Senator
Abdul Ningi Eddy Olafeso, and Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP National Publicity
Secretary.
Gov Dickson came with a
message of solidarity from the party stating that he came to assure him that
the party holds him in high esteem and would thus like to continue to benefit
from his vast experience, contacts and reach as we prepare for another general
elections in 2019. In his response Chief Jimi Agbaje thanked the
delegation for taking time out to visit him. He said that he was never
aggrieved at any time and actually reached out to the winners and even losers
of the elections. He's added that the chairmanship is determined by the
leadership of the party and the delegates that are with them.
He said " politics is not an
end in itself but there is a larger picture we must look at." He appealed
to all those who lost not to be discouraged but come together to rebuild the
party. He said "I am in the PDP and have no plans to go anywhere. We are
going to build the PDP, we are going to make it work." He concluded by
calling all his followers to rally round the party as they prepare for another
round of elections.
Chief Jimi Agbaje was
supported by Alhaji Olusi, Hon Rahman Owokoniran DG of the Jimi Agbaje Campaign
organisation, Alhaji Abdul Kareem, Mrs Folake Philips, Deola Adewumi, Mrs Femi
Oguche, Prince Atang, Igbo community leader in Lagos Chief Orakwe, Dr Wabara
and a LGA councillor Hon Isaac amongst others.
